In 2008, a number of classmates joined in on a cruise to Alaska and in in 2009 and 2010 was the Evening in the Park. Photos from these activities are below and on Candid Camera. If anyone has suggestions for future class cruises, tours, or other activities that may be of interest to classmates, please contact Carlton. 2012 CLASS OF '57 REUNION September 14th – September 16th 2012

ANNOUNCEMENT AND REGISTRATION -- Those of you with e mail should have received the announcement and registration form. Those without e mail should be receiving this material in the mail soon. Following is the weekend agenda and other details that the Picnic Committee has planned for us.

Friday, 9-14-12
From 5:00 pm to whenever we'll be gathering ( no host/reservations) at the Columbia Valley Brewing Company at the foot of 5th street near the river.  This is a brewery that allows people to bring their own food or order out for pizza or deli sandwiches, etc. It's right across the street from the river front park and the old swimming pool.

Saturday, 9-15-12
If you are interested in a round of golf with classmates, contact Lael Vickery at 509-884 -5292 or click here lvickery@nwi.net to e mail him and get on the play list.

Saturday, 9-15-12
Dinner from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm will be at the Cashmere Conservatory (Apple Annies).  This building is along the highway on the right at the first Cashmere signal light going west from Wenatchee.  It has seating for up to 400 plus an outside canopy. Ravenous Catering will be serving a buffet dinner with dessert.  The cost for the dinner will be $35 which includes food, tax, tip, a Past Reunion Pictoral, and facility rental. We plan to obtain a liquor license so it will be BYOB. That will be the only planned cost for our reunion celebration.  There will be no planned program. We want all classmates to attend.  (We know that these are hard economic times for some. If this cost is beyond your budget, pay what you can or nothing. Just mail in your form. It will be treated with confidentiality.)

Sunday, 9-16-12   There will be a casual get-together (breakfast) at Smitty's around 9:00 am for those who can attend.

This reunion is intentionally planned to provide quality time for fellowshiping with one another.
We are really looking forward to a great weekend -- mark your calendar now and encourage all your classmates to come to our Wenatchee Class Of '57 Reunion.
Questions?  Phone Carlton at 509-884-0311 or click here to email Carlton  or click here to email BJ

As usual, we appreciate the efforts of our Wenatchee classmates who are on the Picnic Committee and who make our reunions possible. In addition to Carlton and BJ, others on the committee are Carol Travers, Pat Quinn, Rocky Holloway, Joe and Ann Gaspers, Lael and Linda Vickery and Dick Bruggman. Good Work Folks! Pat is putting together the pictures from past reunions.

Below is a glimpse of the venues. Looks like perfect places to reconnect and share stories with classmates. Many ouf us are not familiar apple annies but, based on first hand reports, the meal should be really outstanding.

The 2011 “PICNIC IN THE PARK” was held on August 13th at the Walla Walla Park on the river front. The weather was great and there was a good turnout including a number of classmates from out of town. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of taking it easy, socializing, and chowing down on hot dogs and burgers. Thanks go out to those Wenatchee classmates who did a great job of planning and worked to make this a success. Below is a list of those who had signed up to attend. As we don't have a final list, there may have been some additional attendees and some who did not make it.

Photos from the Picnic are on Candid Camera.

WHS CLASS OF 1957  "EVENING IN THE PARK II" (2010)

Photo from the 2009 WHS Class of '57 “Evening in The Park”

Reports from Wenatchee are that the Evening in the Park was a huge success. The weather was perfect, the attendance (~160) was great – the right size for the location, the food was wonderful, there was plenty of time to visit, and it appeared that everyone had a good time. As usual, kudos to the usual group of hard-working classmates in Wenatchee for their efforts in planning this activity and making it a success.

WHS Class of '57 (And Friends) ALASKA CRUISE September 7–14, 2008

Photos from the Cruise are now on Candid Camera

Sadly, the cruise is now behind us. I believe everyone would agree that it was a wonderful experience – the overall experience of being pampered for seven days on a 5-star ship, the serenity of Glacier Bay, the enjoyment of talking to and dining with classmates, and the visits to Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria. It could not have been better.

As you see, I have not attempted to prepare any sort of write-up of the cruise, but would invite any of you who were on it to send in any memories that you wish to share. I will add them to this site – Bob.

Below is a photo of the group, followed by a ship photo and the itinerary.
